Thyroidget is a tissue-specific peptide bioregulator hypothesized to act on thyroid follicular cells by entering the cell, interacting with DNA, and modulating expression of genes that govern thyrocyte differentiation and hormone-synthesis machinery. By selectively targeting thyroid tissue, it is proposed to restore age- or stress-related functional decline and support balanced production of thyroid hormones. Its mechanism follows the general bioregulator paradigm of epigenetic-style, organ-directed regulation, but human pharmacological data are limited.
