GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide agonist of the ghrelin/GHS-R1a receptor that triggers a robust pulse of growth hormone from the pituitary. It also modestly stimulates appetite and can transiently raise prolactin, ACTH, and cortisol at higher doses. Its potency makes it effective at amplifying GH output, particularly when combined with a GHRH analog that acts on a separate receptor pathway.
