Vesugen (Lys-Glu-Asp) is a synthetic peptide bioregulator proposed to act on the endothelium and vascular smooth muscle. It is suggested to influence tissue-specific gene expression that supports vessel-wall structure and normalizes endothelial function. By modulating protein synthesis in vascular cells it is associated with improved microcirculation and resistance to age-related vascular decline. Its mechanism follows the broader Cytomax hypothesis of restoring physiological cell function in a target tissue.
