N-Acetyl Epitalon Amidate is an N-terminally acetylated, C-terminally amidated analog of Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly), modifications intended to improve enzymatic stability and bioavailability. Like the parent peptide it is researched as an inducer of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) expression, with reported elongation of telomeres in cultured cells. It is also proposed to act on the pineal gland to normalize melatonin secretion and circadian rhythm, and to influence gene expression linked to neuroendocrine aging.
