Chonluten is a tripeptide (EDG) proposed to act as a tissue-specific bioregulator that binds DNA and modulates gene expression in bronchial epithelial and pulmonary cells. It is reported to influence expression of stress- and differentiation-related genes, supporting protection of respiratory epithelium against oxidative and toxic injury. By restoring homeostatic protein synthesis in lung tissue, it is studied for maintaining mucosal integrity and reducing local inflammatory burden.
