Adalank is a synthetic oligopeptide derived from the Selank/Tuftsin lineage of immune- and CNS-active peptides. Like related analogs, it is thought to modulate the expression and metabolism of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and to influence GABAergic and monoaminergic tone, producing anxiolytic effects without sedation. It is also studied for stabilizing the balance of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines via its tuftsin-like structure, which may contribute to its neuromodulatory profile.
